Stretchmarks, Nature's Body Art

How many times have you looked at your stretchmarks to see what pictures and mysteries they held? Stretchmarks, like clouds are unique onto themselves, no two sets are alike. They are a masterpiece that is as unique to you as your fingerprint.

Who told you stretchmarks were ugly flaws that you should be ashamed of???????

Why should you be ashamed of body art that is unique to you?????????

It is like the Star Belly Sneeches from Dr. Suess's children's book. Who said we all have to be alike? Should we all have the bellies of a 13 year old? Of course not, that is ridiculous!!!!

If no one had ever told you that stretchmarks were ugly, you never would have thought a thing in the world about it. You would have excepted it as a nature life change. The other day, I saw an advertizement for cream that said it help to diminish the wrinkles in front of your ears, and I asked aloud. What wrinkles in front of my ears? I said that is ludicruis, but I took a look to see what they were talking about. How many time do we freak over things we never noticed until someone pointed them out as flaws, now you will have women all over trying to prvent wrinkles in front of their ears. This is a desperate effort as they are beginning to run out of way to show you just how flawed you are.

You are a human being, you are not suppose to be perfect, get over it. It is ok, actually it is perfect. You are perfect the way that you are!

People teach you to hate your uniqueness and conform to made up standards of beauty, only to make money from you. It is time for you to stop believing the hype. You are perfect, just the way you are. We live in a society where 20 yr olds are using botox and teens are getting breast implants. People.....Where will the madness stop?????????????????!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself who they are and what is their purpose for pointing out your (so called) flaws? Does their finger pointing benefit you, (by making you feel not good enough), or does it benefit them when they get in your pocket by encouraging you to try to improve what doesn't need to be fixed. I have seen nearly perfect women spending all night in the mirror trying to perfect some imaginary flaw that only they could see.

Most people can't afford to send their kids to pubic universities, yet will spend their good hard earned money with people who say that they aren't good enough, so that they can send their kids to Ivy League colleges??????????????????????????

And this makes sense?????????????????

It is time for us to wake up and take our power back. Embrace your so-called flaws, and learn to love the unique masterpiece of a body that has been given to you.

I have posted a picture of my stetchart here. I call it the "drop of life." I see all kind of Art work and am constantly adding names to it for the different pictures I see in them.

Love your body, embrace it!!!!!

I invite others to send pictures of their Stretchart. Look at them, discover the hidden art there, name it and send it to me at StretchArt@ymail.com. Show the world the art that you have been hiding. It is time to stop being ashamed of what is natural and love and embrace all of the uniqueness that is you!!!!!!

Please don't send nude photos as they will not be posted. Please send pictures that have been pondered and lovely named.

Thank you for visiting this post!
